We love birthdays at our house. My middle child is turning 4! We are looking forward to a special day today with him. Of course, birthdays need cards so I've some special punched cards that Heather Summers from UStamp and Simply Punches has created. He will love them. I'm going to upload later. Take the Cake!

Here is a picture of a cake I made in October 2008 for a display that I had at a local library. The template comes from the wonderful Splitcoast Stampers website. It is made of wedge boxes that you could put cake into or even lollies for guests to take home from an event such as a party. I will be making more of these. I want to make one each for two of my children as their birthdays are coming up soon. What do you think of the cake as a jungle and a princess castle?

For this cake used Whisper White card stock and rolled each box with Flitting By jumbo wheel in Almost Amethyst. Each layer is wrapped with Bashful taffeta ribbon and tied in a bow. The topper is on a Whisper White card base raised by a little plastic medicine cup and overlayed with more white card. I stamped two of each of the butterflies and several flowers from the Bold Butterfly stamp set (now retired) using Almost Amethyst and Lovely Lilac. I rock and rolled the large butterflies. I overlayed the outline of this two-step set on the butterflies and flowers with Dazzling Diamonds glitter using a Stamp-a-ma-jig and Verasamark, Heat and Stick Powder. Also, in the flowers are some purple and blue Circle Ice Rhinestone Brads. The some of the cascading flowers also have these brads. They were stamped off and attached to Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon.

I love this stamp set and I don't think I will part with it even though it is now retired even in Australia. It is one of my personally most used stamp sets and I still have plans for it.

Finally, I'm back on the blog...

Here is a blinkie of a great stamp class that I have been doing. It is called UStamp Spring 09. The fourth of its kind. I just love the projects they post. They are clever, stylish and very cute. All projects come with instructions and many with accompanying videos. These are designed using Stampin' Up! products that are simply excellent quality and value. You should have a look. Yay! I did it! I'm still learning about this blogging stuff which is why I haven't posted that many. Let me try some more.

This is a card that I made for a friend's little girl's first birthday. My friend had a colour theme of pink and yellow and I wanted to make a card to go with it.

The main stamp set is All in the Family with Family Favourites and It's Your Birthday (now retired) to accompany. Card stock is Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and So Saffron.

Here is a picture of Megan Grace. She is the newest addition to our family and quickly becoming a part of all that is loved in our family. At 8 months, she is already crawling and pulling herself up. Megan wants to keep up with her beloved big brothers.

Hello and welcome to Kerry's crazy cardmaking. I've been very busy making cards and new paper craft pieces. There are so many talented and clever people out there. Thanks to those at Splitcoast Stampers, Ustamp and various people on You Tube, I have been learning and creating some gorgeous projects. I can never forget my friends at Stampin' Up! who started me on this paper route in he first place. A special mention goes to my upline and one of my dearest and longest friends, Cheryl Andrews. THANKYOU!

I'm going to get another friend to help me do to show me how to do more with this blog, so when that happens, I will take photos of my new creations and post them...

Hi, my name is Kerry Hansard. This is my first blog entry so I'd better tell you a bit about myself. I am 37 years old and I am married with 3 children. My youngest child is just 10 1/2 weeks old.
